notquiteandrogynous replied to your post: Coconut sugar is practically all sucrose, its no different to sugar coming from cane or beet, and it isn’t any better or worse for you. Here in Aus you can buy Stevia plants to grow yourself and just crush up a few leaves for sweetness in drinks!

Thanks for the suggestion! Ultimately, what I really need to do is re-calibrate my sensitivity to sweetness and then it wouldn’t even matter that much.

  1. notquiteandrogynous said: Yeah, I quit sugar entirely a year ago for medical reasons (I can’t digest polysacharide sugars at all) and my sensitivity to sweetness increased five-fold in a few months. I can’t drink undiluted fruit juice now because it’s way too sweet
